30,800 sqft | Shreveport, LA | 2007
This nationally recognized high school needed to replace 8 temporary classroom buildings with a new 20 classroom wing for 660 students. Such an undertaking had to occur on a heavily sloped site during the school year with minimal impact on the students’ attention. SGB Architects was able to exceed expectations by delivering a design that incorporated exterior walkways and a centralized core that reduced overall building and utility costs. The structure was sheathed in colored masonry that complimented existing buildings and featured accents of the schools colors.
